should men pay for their dates?

a guy calls a woman he met a day or two earlier, and says, "hey, let me take you to dinner!" after dinner, the check comes and he thinks to himself, you know, I read in a book that it's wokay to ask a woman to pay for half.

the reality is that this is another question that has much deeper implications..

men's thinking goes like this: I'm interested in a woman, so I need to ask her out to dinner. That's the way it goes. Men believe that asking a woman to dinner is the only way to proceed romantically with a woman.

well, it's not. There are all kinds of other ways. And most of those other ways are far better with most women you'll meet.

men need to learn that women aren't attracted to men who try to bribe them and manipulate them with dinners and gifts.

men need to learn how attraction works, how to trigger it in women, and how to proceed from one step to the next smoothly with women, so they don't need to use things like dinners and gifts to get dates.
